R O N N I E S H I F L E T T
Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine. 1 Timothy 5:17

July 16, 2026 marks an extraordinary milestone as Ronnie Shiflett celebrates 50 years of faithfully serving the Lord Jesus Christ in ministry.
From the moment God called him to preach, Ronnie has devoted his life to following that call wherever the Lord has led. Over the past five decades, his ministry has been characterized not by seeking a particular position, but by faithfully embracing every assignment God placed before him.
Beginning with his first pastorate at New Hope Baptist Church in Sycamore, Georgia, Ronnie has pastored several churches during his ministry tenure, while also serving as an interim pastor and partnering with fellow pastors to strengthen their churches. He spent more than 8 years in full-time missions as a missionary and church planter in the South Pacific.
Throughout the years, his ministry has reached far beyond the pulpit. He has taught in Bible colleges, ministry schools, and Sunday School classes for both adults and teens. He has led worship as a song leader and choir director, ministered in jails, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, led personal Bible studies, preached revivals and mission conferences, and served in countless other opportunities the Lord opened before him.
What has always stood out most, however, is not simply the breadth of Ronnie's ministry—it is the heart behind it. Whether serving as a pastor, missionary, evangelist, teacher, or encourager, his burden has always been the same: to love people well, to point them to Jesus Christ, and to see souls come to know the Savior. His ministry has never been about position or recognition, but about faithfully serving Christ and His Church wherever He was called.
If Ronnie has ever been a blessing to your life, your family, or your ministry, we invite you to help us celebrate this remarkable milestone by showing him the honor he so richly deserves. A handwritten card, a personal note, an email, or a simple phone call would be a tremendous encouragement and a fitting way to thank him for fifty years of faithful service to the Lord.
